108 Legacy JIS system put to the test At Radsystem Mosel, Eurofit Group assem- bles and supplies complete TWAs in series for the VW plant in Zwickau (Golf, since 2019 also the ID.3) and the VW plant in Dresden (e-Golf). For each VWmodel, there is a different TWA. Each delivery truck is loaded separately – an internal works truck serves the VW plant in Zwickau, while an external one supplies the VW plant in Dresden. For several years, cus- tomers have received the TWAs in JIS deliv- ery. The legacy IT system was a customized solution that had been adapted frequently over recent years. This IT system was put to the test during the roll-out of SAP ERP. Matthieu Garandeau, Head of Logistics and IT at Eurofit: “The previous JIS system did not have IT-supported sequence check- ing. At Eurofit, the high accuracy and quality rates are vital. We were looking to increase accuracy without reprogramming.” Eurofit was specifically looking for a new, lean JIS solution for the Radsystem Mosel plant.
