109 Matthieu Garandeau: “LOJISTIX and WSW Software convinced us all along the line. Even the standard version of this solution perfectly covered our core requirements. The WSW references were also full of praise for the reliable implementation of JIS projects in terms of the time and bud- get. This was exactly what we needed at the time.” Maximum transparency – LOJISTIX as the “order turntable” between SAP ERP, SAP WM, the EDI connector and MES The IT project kicked off in March 2019. Ba- sic requirements were included, existing processes evaluated and a common ap- proach was adopted. To meet the sharp deadline while meeting all on-going production challenges, the rapid prototyping implementation method was chosen. The implementation as well as the connection of LOJISTIX to SAP, the EDI connector and the MES began in early April 2019. LOJISTIX became the central “turntable” for control of the respective orders. Project and process highlights: L OJISTIX checks the completeness of all messages received from the OEM. L OJISTIX checks the completeness of all order components of a complete wheel and assigns them to the vehicle and mounting position. LOJISTIX is connected to the Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLC control. T he system changeover took place during ongoing series production at VW. Go-live within 24 hours – in the middle of series production The system changeover took place within the space of a day – in the middle of daily production three-shift changes. This re- quired not only the highest level of atten- tiveness from the project team but also a lot of manpower to not stop the plant activ- ities, production and deliveries. The go-live took place as planned successfully on July 1, 2019. Wolfgang Salinger, Division Manager for Digital Supply Chain at WSW Sof tware: “The project ‘Supply of winter wheels’ was running in parallel to the implementation of LOJISTIX for series deliveries. Both proj- ects had to be integrated into the ongoing SAP implementation. The new system had to go live within a time window of just a few hours. This kind of situation doesn‘ t happen often.” Matthieu Garandeau: “The WSW proj- ect team did an excellent job throughout. Shortly after the go-live we continued our deliveries to VW without interruption. With LOJISTIX we now not only have an improved WSW Software GmbH www.wsw.de Share continuous JIS processing but also the level of transparency we expected. We have ad- ditional delivery security and are able to pro- vide our customers with an unprecedented level information at all times.” LOJISTIX – the story continues After the successful go-live at the Mosel plant, the Spanish Eurofit plant Saragossa is now also being converted to LOJISTIX, which supplies one VW plant in Spain with complete wheels. * LOJISTIX® LOJISTIX from WSW Software is an autono- mous solution that controls all JIS logistics processes including complete EDI integra- tion (inbound and outbound), control of final assembly, labeling, sequential packing and delivery, sequential container formation and truck loading, dispatch processing based on production-synchronized call- offs and handling of logistically segregated processes.
