22 Tatoo 4 – Quality at first sight Tatoo is an automatized data storage used by quality engineers to quickly gain insight on their process. Through an automatized data transfer between the testbench and Tatoo the data is centralized on the Tatoo database (on-premises or cloud-based) and is then dis- played in a polished interface to the user. The advantages of such a solution are, on one hand, the speed at which quality engi- neers can read the process to do their daily work and thus find trends within the process, enabling them to act quickly thus avoiding costly NOK parts or machine failures and their consequences. The second advantage is the automatic data transfer and storage on a database and file share which makes it very easy to access the data of any amount of testbenches within the application without doing many time-costly imports of the measurement data into a specific data analysis tool to “mine” the data. From Tatoo, the user can even access ex- ternal programs through optional dedicated interfaces to other business intelligence applications.
