automated to a large extent. And whoever doesn‘t know what to do in the meantime is assisted by interactive help. Neverthe- less, it is not only the daily use of the new tools that is becoming easier, but also their installation. At the same time, digitalisation has helped cloud technology to make a breakthrough - and so today every medi- um-sized company or even every start-up can use the innovations that were the priv- ilege of large companies just a few years ago. A world full of possibilities While work is becoming easier through digital innovations, the world around us is becoming more complicated. At least that‘s how it seems. „You can complain about it,“ says Uwe Bergmann, „but you can also change your perspective and realise that it‘s not the complexity that‘s increasing, but the variety of possibilities.“ Products and services are becoming more sophisticated because they are getting better. People from different disciplines and cultures are com- ing together to put their individual strengths and specialised knowledge at the service of a common cause. Our work today is the area of life where we contribute personally and at the same time develop through the knowledge of others and their dif ferent perspectives. And this also means that companies are continuing to develop. The traditional idea of the office workplace is obsolete. The mod- ern workplace is always with you when you need it - whether on the road, on site with customers or even at home. Uwe Bergmann is convinced that this concept meets the need of many people to organise work and private life more flexibly and to harmonise them. „Above all, it also means more creative freedom and personal responsibility. That‘s what matters, because only in this way can real creativity blossom.“ Taking uncertainty seriously This also means that decision-makers face great challenges. However, we should ex- pect nothing less in revolutionary times. It is a matter of leading one‘s own company through a far-reaching transformation pro- cess unscathed or, better still, strengthened. Many work processes are being put to the test, even long-standing practices. And even entire business models can be turned upside down in the process. It is therefore no wonder that a deep sense of insecurity prevails among many players. Uwe Bergmann also sees the responsibil- ity of his own profession in this regard: „It is important to talk not only about the op- portunities but also about the risks of dig- italisation.“ In the past, there has been too much focus on the technological promises and the effects on corporate cultures have been suppressed. However, according to Bergmann, technology is only the gateway to the new world of work. „The people in- volved have to go through it. Digital trans- formation is a collaborative project for all employees. We should also not shy away from seeking the help of professionals who know how to motivate people and excite them about new ideas. Above all, howev- er, it‘s about realising that you can‘t install the vision of a more human working world – you have to live it.“ COSMOS CONSULT-Group www.osmoconsult.com Share Wilhelm-Schrohe-Str. 2 · 55128 Mainz · Phone +49 611 949164-65 · Mobil +49 157 50153533 · info@klock-medienpartner.de · oemundlieferant.de Cross-media and interactive special edition for the automotive and supplier industry The next issue will be published in March 2022 https://t1p.de/oo53 OEM& SUPPLIER Automotive Network – Innovations.
