The long-standing supplier of mobile transport robots received the coveted award as part of theMercedes-Benz Supplier Circle 2022. The award ceremony took place in front of 500 participants from the international supplier network at the Mercedes-Benz Customer Center Sindelfingen. More than 2200 mobile transport robots ensure a reliable, fully automated and highly efficient supply chain in the production facilities of Mercedes-Benz Cars worldwide. With over 500 vehicles in Factory 56 in Sindelfingen alone, SAFELOG has set the benchmark for the automation of intralogistics in the automotive industry. In such complex projects with the highest demands on quality, flexibility and adherence to deadlines, SAFELOG has impressively proven itself to be a trustworthy, strategic partner for flexible automation in the automotive manufacturer's intralogistics. "We implement AGV projects with fleet sizes ranging from one to several hundred vehicles and regularly achieve a technical availability of over 99 percent," explains Michael Wolter, managing partner of SAFELOG. Thanks to highly standardised production, the robotics manufacturer produces up to 1,000 units a year for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as large corporations and the trend is rising. SAFELOG is thus already one of the top three AGV producers worldwide. Michael Wolter is convinced that the award is a signal to the entire industry. "The importance of mobile robotics is increasing rapidly. Linked to this, the need for simple, low-cost and reliable solutions is increasing. If we manage to permanently optimise our processes as efficiently as the automotive industry, AGVs will be an everyday feature in the production and logistics halls of companies of all sizes in just a few years."
