There are challenges in designing flexible components correctly in other production or product areas also, such as agricultural and construction machinery, trucks & buses, rail vehicles, appliances, and medical technology. However, given the current transformation process in the automotive industry, forced by the need to decarbonize the transport sector, we will continue to focus on this area. We can support the automotive industry in developing new drive variants in the battery-electric sector or fuel cells and e-fuels with our products, and contribute significantly to shortening product development times. Question: What are the key factors currently influencing you and what would determine success for the further expansion of your business model? Oliver Hermanns: The expansion of software-as-a-service and cloud services will be essential for the company’s continued success. With databases and automation options available online, we want to make life even easier for the customer and actively shape some of the core challenges in digitalization, namely integration and automation. In addition, the availability of skilled workers is of critical importance to us. Through the implementation of several research projects, we have built up considerable know-how potential among our staff. However, this will not be sufficient to cope with future growth. We will need to recruit employees, in particular globally, to ensure a high-quality presence at our foreign sites. In doing so, we will rely on our positive corporate culture and spirit of cooperation and collaboration.
