Dietrich Rodermund, Geschäftsführer, Fahrzeug-Initiative Rheinland-Pfalz e.V., Kaiserslautern Founded in 2013, Fahrzeug-Initiative has 80 cluster members right now. Supported by the ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viniculture of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz, we expand the network within the automotive sector consequently and promote information exchange upon the key issues of the sector. The industry and its players are success- fully interlinked by our cluster activities: We supply information about trends and developments in the sector and by enabling continuous exchange with politicians, vehicle manufacturers and the science and education landscape we foster the sustainable strengthening of our part- ners’ competitiveness. The expansion of the network between key players and decision-makers, the transfer of knowl- edge and joint cooperation projects are central concerns of our cluster work. The membership structure is consistently built along the entire automotive value chain and complemented with competent part- ners from other branches and regions. Our member companies find within our cluster everything they need to manage their busi- ness. In addition to innovation, production issues, lightweight construction, new busi- ness models and drivetrain technologies, the network is permanently dedicated to the important topic of specialist education. As partner of the European Interreg project PAE, which was initiated by the automotive and mobility cluster organizations of the greater region, Fahrzeug-Initiative actively ensures the cross-border and international perception of the sector nationwide in or- der to increase the export share of SMEs turnover. Das Automotive Netzwerk Die Fahrzeug-Initiative, im Jahr 2013 gegründet und von Beginn an vom rheinland-pfälzischen Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Verkehr, Landwirtschaft und Weinbau unterstützt, ist ein Netz- werk, das als eingetragener Verein von der Mitgliederversammlung, dem Vor- stand und der Geschäftsführung gelenkt wird. Der Verein verfolgt die Ziele, die Vernetzung in der Branche auszubauen und den Informationsaustausch zu den zentralen Themen des Automobilsektors zu fördern. Durch kontinuierlichen Aus- tausch mit Politik, Vertretern der Fahr- zeughersteller sowie Vertretern der Wissenschaft wird die Vernetzung der Branche und ihrer Vertreter erfolgreich gefördert.
